What We Do and Our Vision for the Future

Our Mission

To champion agricultural education, celebrate rural heritage, and foster community pride by promoting local farming, supporting future agricultural leaders, and connecting generations through inclusive events and initiatives.

Our Vision

To be a thriving hub of agricultural excellence and community pride in Springfield—honouring our rural roots, showcasing local farming, and inspiring the next generation to carry forward the legacy of the family farm through education, innovation, and connection.

About the Springfield Agricultural Society

We are a volunteer-run, non-profit organization in Dugald Manitoba. We were founded in 1882 by local residents who saw a need to create community connection to share our local heritage. â€‹

The Springfield Agricultural Society is incorporated under The Agricultural Societies Act.

Agricultural societies in Manitoba promote agriculture, rural life, and community engagement. Governed by elected boards, they deliver fairs, exhibitions, and youth programming while maintaining community infrastructure.
